Welcome to "Future of the Corps"

As a Marine Corps "poolee", I have created this blog for friends, family, and future Marines so that they may learn from my experiences, starting from my initial recruitment and continuing throughout my career in the United States Marine Corps.

Posts will be scarce until I ship to recruit training on October 11, 2010; I will write letters to a friend who will then post them here to keep you up-to-date on my 13-week journey through boot camp at Marine Corps Recruit Depot (MCRD) Parris Island, South Carolina. Afterwords, I will do my best to continue to post about Marine Combat Training (MCT), Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) School, and then every-day life in the USMC.

If you have any questions, feel free to post them in a comment or send them directly to my email.
