Hurry Up and Wait. Again.

If you happen to be a friend of mine on Facebook or on the Leatherneck forums, then you already know the unfortunate news: my ship date to recruit training has been pushed to October 25th. I was supposed to be shipping next Tuesday, October 12th, but as Gunny Howard says; everything happens for a reason.

I'll admit for the majority of the day I was pretty bummed out because I had already met some of the other female recruits who were to be shipping to Parris Island on the same date, and I was really excited to finally go. Now that I'm over it, I realize that this will just give me an extra 20 days to improve physically and really prepare myself for this hardcore journey I'm about to take on.

So, original ship date was 20101011, then 20101012, which would have put me at a 20110107 graduation date with 4th Battalion, November Company. With my date moved to 20101025, my new graduation date is calculated at 20110121, 4th Battalion, Oscar Company.

November Company sounded so much sexier.
